A Piece of Hidden Heaven in Labuan Bajo

Labuan Bajo

Labuan Bajo is not just about Komodo Island, Padar Island, and Pink Beach. There are still islands that are relatively unknown to tourists but have natural paintings that spoil the eye.

It is Gili Lawadarat which is one of the hidden pieces of paradise in Labuan Bajo.

When detikTravel visited Gili Lawadarat, only a handful of tourists visited it. As a result, the impression of ‘feel like a private island’ is felt here.

The trip to Gili Lawadarat was relatively not too long, about 2 hours from the Labuan Bajo pier which contains a row of leaning phinisi boats.

Lawadarat provides several adventure spots at once. Starting from snorkeling, diving, to hiking spots. So, tourists who like outdoor activities are guaranteed to spend all day in this place.

For hiking to the top which is the main spot on the island, you only need to walk for about 30-45 minutes. Depending on physical abilities and how often the traveler stops for a moment to just take a breath and take photos.

The path traversed is indeed challenging. Many travelers are only strong up to 1/4 of the way, so just taking photos. Not strong enough to keep climbing up. Indeed, the contours traversed are quite steep and even have to go through a path on the edge of the valley.

But if you make it to the top, the tiredness will immediately pay off with the view like a painting that is presented. Moreover, if the traveler comes when the sun begins to set.

The combination of pieces of the island with shades of green coupled with the expanse of blue sea is even more perfect with the glow of the orange twilight sky.
