“We hope he can recover in time. However, apparently, it will not happen. We hope he can recover soon,” continued the football federation.

The US failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and will play the final three matches of the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying zone with yet to secure a ticket to the 2022 World Cup.

After playing 11 games, the US national team is ranked second in the standings with the top three teams winning ties to the World Cup. The fourth place will play in the intercontinental playoffs in June.

The US will travel to Mexico City to take on Mexico on Friday (25/3) WIB, host Panama on Monday (28/3) WIB, and travel to Costa Rica on March 30. (AFP/OL-1)
