President Joko Widodo is said to be witnessing the first MotoGP event in Indonesia at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. To that end, there are a number of security preparations carried out.
One of the MotoGP journalists, Simon Patterson, uploaded the moment of security forces carrying weapons last night. In the photo that Simon uploaded on his Twitter account, a number of members of the security forces came out of the Anoa armored vehicle and surrounded the MotoGP paddock.

“President Jokowi is apparently going to attend today’s race, that’s why there were special and armed troops walking around the paddock last night,” Simon tweeted on Sunday (20/3/2022).
Until now, it has not been confirmed whether Jokowi will attend the Mandalika MotoGP directly. However, it is known that Jokowi will witness the wedding of Putri Tanjung and Guinandra Jatikusumo in the Menteng area, Central today.
During the MotoGP parade in Jakarta, Jokowi did not rule out the possibility of directly watching the action of the racers and also supporting the action of Mario Suryo Aji who started the race from the front row.
It should be noted that Mario Aji is the only Indonesian racer who will compete in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia for the first time.
“Yes, I will see, maybe only for 1 day. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I only have one day. I don’t know,” said Jokowi after opening the MotoGP parade in Jakarta.
