Aubameyang A Gift That Falls From The Sky For Barcelona

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is grateful to be able to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after the Gabon striker scored as Barcelona beat Osasuna 4-0, Monday (14/3) early morning WIB. He called Aubameyang a gift that fell from the sky.

Aubameyang, who signed from Arsenal, has scored six goals in nine appearances for the Blaugrana since signing on a free on February 2 yesterday. Barcelona annexed the 32-year-old bomber after Arsenal terminated his contract by mutual agreement.

“Aubameyang is a gift that fell from the sky. Not only goals, but also the way he trains and his professionalism. He is an example, so are all the players,” explained Xavi.

Barcelona recorded four straight wins in La Liga and looked stunning against Osasuna at Camp Nou. Brace Ferran Torres and goals from Aubameyang and Riqui Puig sealed the three points for the home side.

Xavi also praised Torres for silencing doubters. The footballer who was bought by Barcelona from Manchester City at a price of 55 million euros in the winter transfer market has already started to appear after having stumbled.

“I already said Ferran’s goals will come soon. He scores goals wherever he is: Valencia, Man City and with the Spanish national team. It’s only a matter of time. I am happy with his performance,” he said. (Goal/OL-15)
