The autopsy process for two victims who died in the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java, is planned to be carried out on November 5, 2022 to find the cause of the victim’s death.
Devi Athok’s attorney, Imam Hidayat, in Malang City, today, said that the autopsies for Devi Athok’s two daughters, who are residents of Bululawang Sub-district, Malang Regency, East Java, were carried out after the family said they were willing to do an autopsy.
“The implementation will be carried out on November 5, 2022, at approximately 09.00 WIB, this must be escorted,” said Imam.
Iman explained that in the near future his party as the victim’s attorney will be summoned by the East Java Regional Police (Polda) related to the plan to carry out an autopsy on the two bodies with the initials N and N.
According to him, the autopsy will involve six experts, one of whom is from the Police Medical Team (Dokpol). While the other five are from the Indonesian Forensic Doctors Association (PDFI) and universities.
“So there are six forensic doctors. Yesterday I was worried that it would only be from the Dokpol. But it turns out that from the Dokpol there was only one, the other was PDFI, it could be from the university,” he said.
Currently, he continued, the victim’s family received inherent protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK). This protection is one of the reasons the victim’s family dares to request an autopsy.
“Families get inherent protection from LPSK. So they are attached everywhere with LPSK officers, so they are brave and then declare their willingness to return for an autopsy,” he said.

However, on October 17, 2022, the East Java Regional Police (Polda) stated that the step to carry out an autopsy on two victims of the tragedy that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang Regency, East Java, was canceled.
The cancellation was because the family did not give permission for the autopsy. The police stated that the cancellation of the autopsy was not due to intimidation towards the victim’s family.
