It is located if you are looking directly at your engine b18c1, dead center top of your valve cover and slight behind below the cover or for the b18b1 is located in the same. Add your vehicle in manage my vehicles.

But i ordered a new header today, should be here by next week. I have rechecked my valve lash, intake is at 0.17 and exhaust is still at 0.19 as the specs say.

The factory service manual states valve lash adjustment should be performed on a cold engine (less then 100*f). Then the same for #3 and #4.

Please let me know both intake exhaust sides. While swaping my valve cover i decided to do a valve adjustment. I have rechecked my valve lash, intake is at 0.17 and exhaust is still at 0.19 as the specs say.

I think the valve lash could be set wrong because that would cause the seals to go bad, the misfire, and the recent tapping that has occured. And though a valve adjustment sounds intimidating, it’s actually not that difficult with the right tools and approach. Im going to run through my exhaust and see whats salvageable and order what i need.

You will need feeler gauges to adjust your valve lash, and a timing gun to adjust your timing, or at least see if it’s still on the dot. And you have to tighten the jam nuts with the special tool first, then finish them off with a torque wrench.
