AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud has been called up to the France squad for the friendlies against Ivory Coast and South Africa in place of Karim Benzema, who has been injured.
The 35-year-old striker last played for France in the last 16 of the Euro 2020 when Les Bleus lost on penalties to Switzerland.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea striker is the second-highest scorer in the history of the French national team with 46 goals in 110 appearances. He is only five goals behind the French national team goal record held by Thierry Henry.
