Capello says Juventus must keep Allegri

Former Italy coach Fabio Capello believes Massimiliano Allegri is still worth keeping for Juventus, even though in recent times the Bianconeri have had minor results.

Capello thinks Juventus have not shown progress under Allegri, but sacking is not the right move.

Capello added that the problems experienced by Juventus at this time could occur due to several aspects and the dismissal of Allegri would not guarantee the difficulties that the club was experiencing would go away.

The former AC Milan coach added that the return of several injured players such as Paul Pogba and Angel Di Maria was seen as being able to get Allegri back on the right track with Juventus.

The 76-year-old coach continued, last season he once said that they cannot judge a coach from just one season in charge of a team.

“It’s not a physical problem, we can get tired after an hour instead of 30 minutes. I think what has to be overcome is psychologically. Lack of attention and confidence. Deflating like that, even against a quality and tough team like Benfica, is not normal. ‘ said Capello.

“Pogba is one of Allegri’s pillars. He can’t be questioned and the same goes for Di Maria. He’s not yet fit, but provided two good assists when he was introduced against Benfica. Quality is quality. Di Maria can make the difference and he will improve a lot. problem when he comes back.”

In the Champions League, it is recorded that Juventus have never tasted victory after being defeated by a score of 1-2 each from PSG and Benfica.

In the Italian League, La Vecchia Signora is listed as being ranked 8th in the standings after collecting two wins and four draws from six matches. This situation had made the fans dissatisfied and put the hashtag #Allegriout on social media. (OL-8)
