Chase Quadruple, Liverpool Towards Eternity

LIVERPOOL are on the right track to grab four titles aka quadruple this season. If able to achieve it, the Reds will stay because they became the first English club to record this achievement.

This season, Liverpool have won the English League Cup title. Jurgen Klopp’s men beat Chelsea in the final on penalties 11-10.

While in the FA Cup, Liverpool have penetrated the top party. Chelsea is the opponent that Mohamed Salah and his friends face again in the top match which will be held next month.

In the English Premier League, the Reds are also still likely to win the title. Currently, Liverpool are in second place with 79 points and are only one point adrift of Manchester City who are at the top of the standings.

One other title and the most prestigious title, can be achieved by Sadio Mane and colleagues in the Champions League. Currently, Liverpool have one leg in the final after beating Villarreal 2-0 in the semifinal first leg.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand admitted he was amazed by Liverpool’s performance this season. According to him, the club from the Port City performed brilliantly in every match played.

“This is the best Liverpool team I’ve ever seen. They never stop with or without the ball. It’s about the way they press the team, the energy, the effort, the application, you admire it,” said Ferdinand.

“Quadruple has to be the goal. They will set their own targets. If they achieve that they will be immortal, they are above all the teams that have competed in this game in England. Whether they can achieve that remains to be seen. But, they are finishing. one job at a time,” Ferdinand added.

In fact, Manchester United almost won four titles in 1998/1999. Unfortunately, the Red Devils failed to win the English League Cup, so that season they won three trophies, namely the English Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League. (Goal/OL-15)
