Chelsea is getting more and more ‘PeDe’ in getting Sterling

CHELSEA are reportedly confident of signing winger Raheem Sterling from Manchester City this summer.

Quoted from Sky Sports, Monday (20/6) Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel is looking for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who will be loaned to Inter. The German coach assesses Sterling as the right person.

In addition, Tuchel is known to be an admirer of Sterling’s style of play, which is believed to be suitable for playing on Chelsea’s front lines, compared to Lukaku.

Chelsea is rumored to have prepared a fund of 35 million pounds, or around Rp. 636 billion. But Manchester City set Sterling at a price of 60 million pounds (about Rp1 trillion).

Manchester City set a fairly high price for Sterling because the player is still only 27 years old, although he only has one year left on his contract at the Etihad.

Raheem Sterling recorded coming from Liverpool to Manchester City in the summer of 2015 and has contributed four Premier League titles, four Premier League Cups and one FA Cup for The Citizens.

Last season, Sterling made 47 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City and made 17 goals and 9 assists in 3,088 minutes played.

The Englishman has made 339 appearances and contributed 131 goals and 95 assists in various competitions, making himself Manchester City’s top 10 goalscorer in history. (OL-8)
