Coach Says PSM Will Lose Several Players Against Persela

PSM Makassar TRAINER Joop Gall said that his team will lose several players against Persela Lamongan in the 31st week of the Indonesian League 1 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Monday (14/3).

Speaking at a virtual press conference session on Sunday (13/3), Gall explained that several of his players were injured and there was one player who had accumulated cards, namely left wing defender Abdul Rachman.

“We have players who were injured from the previous game and we have players who will not be able to play in the next game because of accumulation, namely Rahman,” Gall said.

The Dutch coach continued to say that some of his previously injured players had gradually returned to training.

Even so, he explained that currently PSM can only prepare themselves to recover because the schedule between matches is too close.

In addition, Gaal also appreciated the success of his team not to lose in the previous four matches by winning one win and three draws.

“Earlier, there were some players who were injured and now they can gradually return to training, this is a pretty tough league in terms of preparation, we can’t prepare too much because the distance between games is too close,” said Gall.

“So the players are trying to recover, minimize the damage and of course what the players are showing four games unbeaten, is something my players can appreciate.”

Currently, PSM Makassar is in 13th position in the Indonesian Liga 1 standings with 34 points from 30 matches and a win over Persela Lamongan could take them away from the relegation zone. (Ant/OL-1)
