REAL Sociedad maintained their solid performance in La Liga by beating fellow Basque team, Alaves, with a 1-0 score at their home, Reale Arena, San Sebastian, Basque, Spain, Monday (14/3) early morning WIB.
La Real have now collected nine points from their last four league games as Imanol Alguacil’s side look to move closer to a European qualification spot this season.
However, despite the overall positive appearance, the hosts were forced to endure patiently at home.

Alexander Isak and Mikel Merino both threw away clear chances that could have put the hosts ahead before half-time. Alguacil is clearly holding back annoyed on the sidelines.
La Real boosted their form in the second half and Alexander Sorloth’s header hit the post before being sent off.
The pressure finally paid off with 20 minutes remaining when Martin Zubimendi met Mikel Oyarzabal’s free kick to beat goalkeeper Alex Remiro.
Prior to that, Remiro had twice made brilliant saves that kept the net from conceding.
The result of this match makes Sociadad entrenched in sixth place in La Liga standings with 47 points, just above Villarreal, who collected 45 points. (Ant/OL-1)
