Marc Marquez will not immediately consider Alex Rins and Joan Mir as friends when they both join the Honda MotoGP team squad next season. Marquez has made the same statement more than once. What’s her excuse, huh?
confiscated from Crash.net, Marquez first made sure that he would not give any advice to Alex Rins while defending Honda next season. That’s a sign, The Baby Alien also doesn’t want to help Rins understand the famous ‘fierce’ Honda motorcycle.
“I will not give any advice (to Rins). For me he is one of my opponents (next season),” said Marc Marquez, quoted Wednesday (19/10/2022).
Since Honda first announced the arrival of Rins and Mir, Marquez has often made sentences that essentially don’t want to be friends on the track. Because, he indirectly said, racers actually have no friends during the race, all of them are enemies.
However, Marquez still recognizes the greatness of Mir and Rins. In fact, according to him, Honda was lucky to be able to recruit the two Suzuki dropout riders.
“It was great (when I found out) that a world champion (Joan Mir) and a race-winning rider (Alex Rins) joined Honda,” he said.

As a factory partner, Marquez doesn’t want to say ‘good luck’ to Alex Rins. Because, once again, Marquez considers him as one of the rivals next season.
“I’m not saying I hope he (Rins) does his best. So, let’s see. Because he is one of my opponents (next season). Otherwise, it will (feels) fake,” he said.
“(Essentially), I will work hard for the 2023 project with Honda and they (Rins and Mir) will also work very, very hard,” Marquez added.
