Electronic ticket on the toll road officially takes effect today, Friday, April 1, 2022. Toll road users who speed over the speed limit and are caught on camera by ETLE will be penalized in the form of a maximum fine of Rp. 500,000.
Electronic ticketing on toll roads targets two types of violations. The first is the maximum speed limit, and the second is the vehicle that exceeds the capacity limit, aka ODOL (over load over dimension).
“Yes, that’s right. As stated on the signs installed, the speed limit on toll roads is 60 to 100 km/hour. This is regulated in Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 79 of 2013 concerning Traffic and Road Transport Networks in article 23 paragraph 4 and strengthened by the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation Number PM 111 of 2015 concerning Procedures for Determining Vehicle Limits article 3 paragraph 4.
To drive on toll roads in the city, the minimum driving speed is 60 km/hour and the maximum driving speed is 80 km/hour. Then to drive on highways outside the city a minimum of 60 km / hour and a maximum (100 km / hour). If you exceed the speed limit, the driver will be ticketed with an electronic ticket system.

Sanctions for Violation of Electronic Tickets on Toll Roads
According to Aan, the sanctions for violating the electronic ticket are adjusted to Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. Vehicles violating the speed limit will be ensnared in Article 287 paragraph (5) of Law no. 22 of 2009.
“Everyone who drives a Motorized Vehicle on the Road violating the rules of the highest or lowest speed limit as referred to in Article 106 paragraph (4) letter g or Article 115 letter a shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 2 (two) months or a fine of a maximum IDR 500,000.00 (five hundred thousand rupiah).”
Meanwhile, the overload violation is ensnared in Article 307 of Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. What are the sanctions? Following are the contents of Article 307 of Law no. 22 of 2009.
“Everyone who drives a Motorized Vehicle for Public Transport of Goods who does not comply with the provisions regarding the procedure for loading, carrying capacity, and dimensions of the vehicle as referred to in Article 169 paragraph (1) shall be subject to a maximum imprisonment of 2 (two) months or a maximum fine of Rp. 500. 000.00 (five hundred thousand rupiah).”
