Even though he doesn’t have to have surgery, Pogba is sure to be out for 5 weeks

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will be out for five weeks but will not have to go on the operating table after sustaining a knee injury, which puts the France international at risk of missing the 2022 World Cup.

Pogba, who returned to Juventus after moving six years ago to Manchester United, will undergo six weeks of therapy, a Juventus spokesman said.

The 29-year-old midfielder injured his right knee meniscus while training with Juventus, last month, in the United States (USA) while on a pre-season tour.

Pogba has seen a number of doctors to determine the treatment he can undergo without having to go on the operating table.

As a result of the injury, Pogba is confirmed to miss the start of the Serie A season, which will start on August 13 and is not expected to return until mid-September. (AFP/OL-1)
