The World Football Federation (FIFA) gave the green light regarding the plan for the All Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) to hold an Extraordinary Congress (KLB). FIFA even recommended that the KLB be held sooner, namely in February 2023.
FIFA has replied to PSSI’s letter regarding the KLB proposal. In its reply, FIFA approved PSSI’s plan to accelerate the KLB. In a FIFA letter sent Thursday (10/11), it stated that the Ordinary Congress for the election of the Election Committee (KP) and the Election Appeal Committee (KBP) was held on January 14 2023 and determined for the KLB Election Executive Committee (Ketum, Waketum, members of the Executive Committee) rolling out on February 16, 2023.

“We have received a letter from FIFA regarding the implementation of the congress. Initially we planned an ordinary congress for the election of KP and KBP on January 7 and an extraordinary congress for the election of the entire Executive Committee on March 18. However, there has been a change via letter from FIFA and we will follow the directives from FIFA ,” said Secretary General of PSSI, Yunus Nusi.
“With this, we immediately sent a letter to all PSSI voters regarding the change in the date of the congress according to the answers from FIFA’s letter,” he added.
The elected KP and KBP will later work to process towards congress selecting the general chairman, deputy chairman, and members of the executive committee on February 16, 2023. (Pssi/OL-4)
