Germany Unbeaten in the Hansi Flick Era


The German national team managed to record a victory over the Israeli national team with a final score of 2-0. The two teams competed in a friendly match that took place at the Rhein Neckar Arena, Germany, on Sunday local time.

This is the first victory for the German national team in their international match in 2022. At the same time, extending their unbeaten streak to eight games in a row under head coach Hansi Flick.

Since the failure of the German national team in the European Cup last year, Hansi Flick took over the coaching of Der Panzer, the nickname of the German national team. He replaced the position of Joachim Loew who decided to resign.

Starting the first match in the World Cup qualifying round against Liechtenstein, Flick immediately created a winning trend to date.

“I’m very happy with this victory. But I would be very upset, if we conceded in the last minute of the game,” said Flick quoted from the team’s official website, Sunday (27/3).

In this match, the victory of the German national team was successfully donated by Kai Haverts in the 36th minute. Then, Timo Werner in first half extra time (45+1′).

Thomas Mueller actually almost created the third goal for Germany. However, the Bayern Munich defender failed to score from a penalty kick in the 89th minute, because the ball hit the crossbar.

Having a positive record in the last few months, Timo Werner said the record was a good capital for Der Panzer to start the 2022 period.

“I think we could have played some chances better, but our first four games together in four months. It was a good performance to start the year,” said Werner.
