Honda WR-V officially launched and became a competitor to the Toyota Raize and Daihatsu Rocky. However, this small SUV from Honda is only offered with a CVT transmission option, no manual transmission.
Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) Yusak Billy said, for this year his party only sells Honda WR-V with three variants. All three are only offered with a CVT transmission.
“This year, only three variants were launched, excluding manual transmission. Why? Because the production capacity follows the supply of components. Now the supply of components is still very limited. That’s why we produce variants with a lot of demand first. plan production this year,” said Billy at the launch of the Honda WR-V in Jakarta, Wednesday (2/11/2022).
According to him, currently automotive manufacturers are still constrained by the semiconductor chip crisis. This makes Honda choose only the CVT variant which is produced this year.
