Igbonefo Choose to Stay Home During the Competition Holiday


Persib Bandung naturalized defender Victor Igbonefo chose to enjoy rest and spend time with his family at home during the long holiday after the 2021/2022 Liga 1 competition.

Although most of Persib’s foreign players returned to their home countries during the competition break, Igbonefo decided to stay in Indonesia and not return to his home country, Nigeria.

“This holiday I stay in Indonesia. I don’t have any special activities (holidays abroad or returning to Nigeria),” said Igbonefo,
quoted from the club’s official website, Thursday (5/5).

In addition to light training at home, the number 32 player admitted that he only spent time with his family.

The intense and tough competition some time ago, admitted Igbonefo made him want to really take time for family and rest.

Therefore, Igbonefo chose to stay in Indonesia and take advantage of the long holiday to refresh his body.

“Off season I really use it for a complete rest,” he concluded.

After the 2021/2022 Liga 1 title by appearing as runner-up, the Blue Prince provided a holiday opportunity for players,
including freeing him to return to his hometown.

Persib has scheduled its first training session in the middle of next month, on May 16, 2022, to prepare for the Liga 1 competition next season.

However, the Maung Bandung players will get a series of tests before undergoing the training session and make sure they are ready before devouring the training program provided. (Ant/OL-1)
