Jonathan Bustos scores Borneo FC’s winning goal over Persiraja

JONATHAN Bustos scored twice to lead Borneo FC to beat the bottom team of the Persiraja Banda Aceh standings with a score of 2-1 in the 31st week of the Indonesian League 1 match at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Tuesday (15/3).

The two goals of the Argentine attacking midfielder were scored in the 30th and 71st minutes. Meanwhile, Persiraja’s reply was only born in extra time in the second half through Bruno Dybal’s feet.

This victory confirmed Borneo FC’s position in sixth place in the League 1 standings with 48 points from 31 matches. Meanwhile, Persiraja, which has been relegated since a few weeks ago, is increasingly imprinted as caretaker with a score of 13 points.

Borneo FC took the initiative to attack from the start and Muhammad Sihran had time to trick goalkeeper Aji Bayu Putra when he received a pass from Leo Guntara. Unfortunately his header ended hitting the Persiraja goal post.

Pesut Etam’s men then opened up their lead in the 30th minute when Bustos pulled off a stunning individual move past at least four Persiraja players including goalkeeper Aji Bayu Putra before rolling the ball into the net.

Aji Bayu Putra was then kept busy to fend off the next threat that came from Serdy Ephyfano Rocky before the first half ended still with the score 1-0 for Borneo FC who continued to appear dominant.

Left behind by one goal, Persiraja tried to immediately hit the Borneo defense at the beginning of the second half, unfortunately Dybal’s hard kick from outside the penalty box could still be secured by goalkeeper Angga Saputro.

After successfully suppressing Persiraja’s ambition at the beginning of the second half, Borneo then successfully doubled their advantage through Bustos’ accurate penalty execution in the 71st minute after Wawan Febrianto was fouled in the forbidden box.

The goal that Laskar Rencong had been waiting for only appeared three minutes into added time when Dybal immediately netted the ball into the opponent’s goal from a free kick, only Borneo still closed the game with three points after winning 2-1 after the whistle sounded. (OL-8)
