Jovic confirmed to leave at the end of the season

Serbian striker Luka Jovic will soon end his career with Real Madrid next summer, Marca reported on Tuesday (22/3)

Los Blancos coach Carlo Ancelotti does not consider him an important part of his squad and will seek regular playing opportunities with other clubs in the summer transfer window.

Ancelotti himself had tried to sign the 24-year-old when he was still coaching Italian club Napoli.

Several clubs across Europe have expressed interest in Jovic since the January transfer window. Clubs like Arsenal, Everton, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund have been linked with Jovic.

Jovic was signed by Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 for a fantastic value of 60 million euros and his contract is valid until 2025.

The contract makes it difficult for interested clubs to buy him so he will most likely be loaned out.

Since coming to the Santiago Bernabeu, Jovic has scored only three goals and four assists in 49 matches. That number is much different when he played for Eintracht Frankfurt who could score 40 goals and ten assists from 93 matches. (OL-8)
