Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp insists his team will continue to harass Manchester City in the standings ahead of the match against Arsenal in the postponed match week 27 of the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium, London, Thursday (17/3).
“We can continue to harass as much as we can. But how should I put it, we have to win our football game but it won’t help if I say it here,” Klopp said, quoted from the club’s official website, Wednesday (16/3).
Despite having such a plan, Klopp still respects the good team Manchester City and also their opponents in order to embrace the Premier League title, including Arsenal.
According to him, currently Liverpool have 10 difficult matches in the Premier League and one of them is against Arsenal in the match tonight. Although winning all the remaining matches is impossible.
Regarding the draw match that Manchester City got against Crystal Palace some time ago, Klopp said it didn’t really matter, especially now that Liverpool have to face Arsenal at home.
“I don’t know how you can count the points at Arsenal now and think, ‘Just one point.’ I think it’s easy for you but it’s four points and we have to play this game.
“As we all know, if we want to achieve something in this Premier League and you are not top of the table, sometimes you need another team to drop points,” Klopp said.
“I’m not sure now it’s necessary or not, we’ll see. It all still depends on our results. That’s why we think about them and nothing else,” he concluded. (OL-8)
