Klopp warns his players not to be too confident in the title competition

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, warned his players not to be too confident in the competition to win the Premier League this season.

The Reds reduce the distance with the leaders Manchester City after beating Arsenal 2-0, through goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino at the Emirates Stadium, We (17/3) early morning WIB.

This result makes Liverpool, who is ranked second, shorten the distance from the leader of the standings, Manchester City to only one point.

It will be Liverpool’s ninth successive Premier League win and a trophy-laden momentum if they win their remaining nine games, including the trip to Man City on April 10.

While Man City faltered after winning a goalless draw against Crystal Palace last Monday.

Even though Liverpool are in the best form in the league, Klopp has asked his players to be careful not to be overconfident.

“Momentum is the most fragile flower on the planet. Someone steps on it and then it disappears,” said Klopp

“I’m not a close friend of momentum. Just find a way to get past it. I’d rather be 20 points ahead.” he continued.

Klopp insisted his team will prepare in the best possible way against Man City in the next three or four weeks.

“I know the only chance we have is to win a lot of games because our opponent (Man City) is winning an incredible number of games,” he said.

“The last few years, we have pushed each other to crazy levels. We will play Man City in the next three or four weeks and we will give them a proper fight.”
