Knock! Honda Confirms Only Selling Civic Hatchback Hybrids in Europe

Finally, Honda announced that it will only sell the Civic hatchback hybrid variant in Europe from 2023. This electric car is explained to be mated to a 2.0-liter gasoline engine.

Quoted by motortrend, the Honda Civic Hybrid will carry the same platform as the Civic Hatchback sold in the United States market, and will be included in the e:HEV (Hybrid electric vehicle) line up.

Regarding toughness, the Honda Civic will carry a 72 cell lithium-ion battery, which is mated to two electric motors along with a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine. It is explained that the Honda Civic Hybrid will be capable of spitting out 181 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque.

Regarding the gasoline engine, Honda claims the 2.0-liter petrol engine will be up to 41 percent more efficient. In addition, various better components such as a new power control unit and a smarter power unit are also updated to increase efficiency.
