MADURA United ensured that they were safe from the threat of relegation after defeating Persija with a score of 3-1 in the 2021/22 Indonesian League 1 continued match at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, Thursday (17/3)
These results make Madura United move up to ninth position in the Liga 1 standings this season by pocketing 38 points from 31 matches. The number of points will not be overtaken by the teams in the relegation zone.
The Madura United goals against Persija were scored by Renan da Silva, Rohit Chand (suicide) and Bayu Gatra. While Persija reduced the position through Taufik Hidayat’s goal.
