MANCHESTER City are reportedly in the near future preparing a contract extension for midfielder Rodri.
According to the football-espana page, Monday (28/3) Manchester City gave a salary increase for the Spaniard and an increase in the duration of the contract until 2026.
At the moment, Rodri still has two years left on his contract and Manchester City are ready to increase his salary from 70,000 euros (Rp 1.1 billion) to 125,000 euros (Rp 1.9 billion) per week.
Based on the Daily Mail report, Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is now prioritizing the new contracts of several of his flagship players, including Rodri next summer.
The 25-year-old is not expected to object to extending his contract at Manchester City. Moreover, the club has ambitions to secure a number of titles in the next few years.
In addition, Manchester City this season has the opportunity to secure the treble because they still have a chance to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
Since his arrival at Manchester City in 2019 from Atletico Madrid, Rodri has made 138 appearances to contribute 9 goals and 8 assists for The Citizen in various competitions. (OL-8)
