Pedri hopes Dembele will extend his contract at Barcelona

PEDRI hopes his Barcelona partner Ousmane Dembele extends his contract.

According to Marca, Monday (28/3), Dembele’s contract will expire next summer. The French player is rumored to be attracting the attention of big French League club Paris Saint-Germain.

“I have a great relationship with him. He’s a crazy player. You don’t know left or right, he goes where he wants and it’s really nice to have him,” said Pedri.

“Sometimes I make jokes with him about his future, but it’s a decision he has to make on his own.”

The 19-year-old midfielder has revealed the impact the new coach Xavi has had on Barcelona.

According to him, Xavi is a coach who gives confidence every step of the way because he knows very well what the team wants to do and the players understand it very well.

“We knew we had to be able to control the game through possession and that’s what he emphasized,” Pedri said.

Pedri admits he had a good time with Lionel Messi on and off the pitch and it is hoped the Argentine will return to Barcelona.

Messi has not been able to show his best form at PSG and there are reports that the Argentine has the opportunity to return to Barcelona next season.

“I enjoy playing with him and it’s a joy to have a team-mate like him.” (OL-8)
