Persib Bandung coach Robert Alberts confirmed that the injuries to his two players, namely Teja Paku Alam and Beckham Putra Nugraha, were still being monitored by the medical team.
Quoted from the club’s official website, Monday (21/3), these two players were still injured so they couldn’t be played during the Persib match against Persebaya which ended in a 1-1 draw in the 32nd week of Liga 1 Indonesia, Saturday (19/3). .
“About Teja and Beckham, it’s too early to say now. Teja and Beckham are injured. Both are under observation,” said Robert.
Robert explained that he still cannot comment much on the condition of the two players because they still need a series of examinations and therapy for the next few days.
The Dutch coach said that after an intensive examination, it was only possible to find out about the condition of Teja and Beckham or how long they would be out of action.
He explained that Teja and Beckham will carry out follow-up therapy today and he still doesn’t know if he can field two players in the match against Persik Kediri in week 33 of the Indonesian Liga 1, next Wednesday.
“We have a therapy agenda. Then maybe after that we will get further information. So, it is still too early to say how long they will be out,” explained Robert.
The loss of two important players, such as Teja Paku Alam and Beckham Putra, is certainly a loss for Persib Bandung, who are trying to maintain their hopes of winning the Liga 1 title this season.
Currently, the Maung Bandung team is in second place in the standings with 64 points from 32 matches, two points adrift of Bali United in the top position who will only play against Madura United tonight. (OL-8)
