Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Mauricio Pochettino said he was sad to hear the Ligue 1 club’s supporters booed Neymar and Lionel Messi.
The superstar from Argentina and Brazil was the target of the host fans’ irritation throughout the Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux, which ended 3-0, Monday (14/3) early morning WIB. The match was only three days after the loss of Les Parisiens from the Champions League by Real Madrid.
Supporters think that Messi and Neymar have failed to bring about change at PSG, especially in the Champions League competition.

Both players received a hostile welcome when their names were called before the match, while Neymar was still booed despite scoring his second goal of the game.
Pochettino said he was disappointed by the fans’ action and felt the jeers affected his team.
“Everyone who loves PSG is sad after Madrid’s disappointment. I am saddened by what I experienced today,” he told reporters after the match, quoted by Goal, Monday (14/3). “We are all affected.”
“We understand your disappointment and frustration. We are all living it together, as a team.”
“We must take responsibility for what happened. We share this disappointment with the supporters,” he continued.
Messi and Neymar are indeed the two biggest stars at PSG at the moment, with fantastic salaries.
However, their contribution is quite minimal this season. Messi has just seven goals and 11 assists, while Neymar has four goals and 5 assists. (Ant/OL-1)
