The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Djoko Poerwanto, immediately monitored the place where the audience gathered at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit. This is to ensure the readiness of traffic flow ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP event which will be held this weekend.
“We want to make sure that all spectators who come to the Mandalika Circuit feel comfortable, don’t get stuck in traffic, and don’t jostle in long queues to watch MotoGP,” Djoko was quoted as saying by the NTMC Police.
Furthermore, Djoko has prepared a number of strategies to prevent traffic jams around the circuit, one of which is by directing thousands of spectators to the available parking spaces.
Spectators attending the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit will be directed to a number of parking points that have been prepared, one of which is the East Parking which is a parking lot for thousands of vehicles. Later the audience will be escorted directly using the shuttle bus that has been provided to the entrance of the circuit.
“Previously, spectators had to exchange tickets into bracelets in several places that had been prepared,” he said.
With careful preparation from a long time ago and a tightened level of security, Djoko is confident that this year’s Mandalika MotoGP event can run smoothly and safely until it is finished.
“So far, everything is still in the understanding that it must be successful. So like I said earlier, between points, between places, and between buses, it must be in sync,” he said.
The NTB Police Chief ensured that 3,427 joint personnel were ready to secure the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia, which will take place at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, March 18-20, 2022.
The personnel on duty come from a combination of the TNI and Polri as well as a number of related agencies, including Basarnas, the Transportation Service, Satpol-PP, the Health Service, as well as airport and port security authorities.
