Police Identify Riot Perpetrators Outside Kanjuruhan Stadium

The police are currently investigating the vandalism incident outside the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java, after the match between Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya on Saturday (1/10).

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that his party was also currently investigating the discovery of liquor inside the Kanjuruhan Stadium.

“It’s done. Now it has been investigated by Labfor, from there of various types, and mixtures. This is still being investigated by the fingerprint team,” said Dedi to the media crew at the Jakarta Police Headquarters, Monday (10/10).

Later, continued Dedi, those who have been proven to have committed a crime of vandalism outside the stadium will be charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code.

“Yes, it is related to the application of Article 170 to anyone who is proven to have done damage, arson, assault, and so on,” he added.

Furthermore, Dedi said that his party had also identified the alleged perpetrators of the riot outside the stadium.

“What is clear is that we have identified, from the additional CCTV that we have found, including from several videos and photos that we have found, we have identified the perpetrators,” he concluded. (OL-16)
