Quartararo wanders bare-chested in Mandalika, very patient at being held up by selfie fans

Fabio Quartararo did not join his colleagues to meet President Jokowi and parade in Jakarta. The Yamaha rider chose to spend time in Mandalika interacting with local residents before competing in the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (Indonesian MotoGP).

Quartararo arrived in Mandalika earlier this week. He was then widely discussed on social media when he bought a starter pack at a cellular phone outlet not far from the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit.

On Wednesday (16/3) yesterday, Quartararo was seen again around the circuit. He then shared the moment he met the enthusiastic children to meet him via his personal Instagram account.

In the afternoon, Quartararo chose to jog, also around the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit. Its appearance on public streets attracts people’s attention. Moreover, he ran bare-chested and only wore shorts.

Some people who saw Quartararo running there stopped him to take a photo. Quoted from Antara, a group of fans even drove their car forward to intercept the Yamaha rider and asked him to take a selfie.

The 2021 MotoGP world champion was friendly and patient in responding to the requests of his fans. He slowed down his running and then stopped for about 1-3 seconds to take pictures and continue his activities.

From the Pullman and Novotel hotels, Quartararo continued to run towards the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit.

Once again, along the sidewalks, Quartararo faced another ‘intercept’ from fans who asked him to take pictures.

Quartararo will try to get up at the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (Indonesian MotoGP) after in the season-opening race in Qatar two weeks ago he could only finish in 9th position. In general, the Yamaha riders still haven’t got the best bike settings.

But Quartararo still has good capital at the Mandalika Circuit. He became the second fastest driver in the pre-season training session, last February.
