Remember, Odd Even at the Peak Still Valid on Weekends

The Bogor Police Traffic Unit has again implemented the odd-even system in the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java. This odd-even application is carried out to anticipate the density of people who want to travel to Puncak on weekends.

For information, the implementation of odd-even in the Puncak area, Bogor, West Java is based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. PM 84 of 2021 concerning Traffic Regulations on the Ciawi Puncak National Road No. 074 and the Cianjur City Peak-Boundary National Road No. 075.

“It applies according to Permenhub 84,” said KBO Satlantas Polres Bogor Iptu Ketut quoted by Korlantas Polri.

According to the regulation, the odd-even implementation will take effect from D-1 or the day before every weekend, starting on Friday (27/5/2022) at 14.00 WIB. Then, odd-even will continue on Saturday-Sunday (28-29 May) starting at 24.00 WIB.

“So Friday starts at 14.00 WIB and Saturday-Sunday at 24.00 WIB,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the police will also enforce a one-way system in the Puncak area. However, this is situational in nature, depending on traffic conditions in the area.

If there is a significant increase in the flow of vehicle volume in the Puncak area, the police will only implement a one-way system.

“One way is to look at the situation on the field, if the flow is solid, we play,” he said.
