AREMA FC will have an away match against Persik Kediri at Brawijaya Stadium, Saturday (17/9) afternoon. This match will be a reunion for Arema coach Javier Roca, who previously led Persik.
Javier Roca led the Arema squad after previously being sacked by Persik when the league had only been running for three weeks. He was also aiming for the first victory because on his debut to train Arema he actually lost to Persib Bandung.
“I think the players are mentally ready. Everyone is motivated to win,” said Roca.
Arema FC brought 22 players to Kediri. Several players who had missed the previous match due to injury are now included in the team, such as Adilson Maringa, Johan Ahmat Farizi, and Abel Camara.

Roca said his players were in good mental condition despite being humiliated by Persib 1-2 at home in the previous match. He assessed that the match against Persik would be a difficult match even though on paper Arema would be the favourites.
The club nicknamed Singo Edan is currently in 11th place while Persik are at the bottom of the standings.
“There are no easy matches. All teams will show their best ability against Arema and that’s what we anticipate,” said the coach from Chile. (LIB/OL-5)
