Ronaldo Optimistic Ten Hag Will Succeed at Old Trafford

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo says he is optimistic that new coach Erik ten Hag will lead the Red Devils to success in the future.

The Portuguese player thinks that ten Hag deserves time to bring the Red Devils back on the right path and embrace success.

“I know he is doing a fantastic job for Ajax and he is an experienced coach but we need to give him time. Something needs to change in the way he wants,” Ronaldo said, quoted by Sky Sports, Tuesday (7/6).

“I wish us success of course because if you are successful, all of Manchester will be successful too. So I wish him all the best.”

The Portuguese player explained that the arrival of Erik ten Hag to Manchester United had not only given new passion to the players, but also to the supporters of the Red Devils.

“We are happy and excited, not only the players but also the supporters. I wish him the best and let’s believe that next year we will win the trophy,” explained Ronaldo.

On his future with Manchester United, Ronaldo said he was delighted to be playing for the club that made his career soaring and it was an unbelievable feeling.

“I am still and remain very happy to be here, and what I have to say to the fans is they were amazing. Even when we lost they always supported us, they were always with us. The supporters are always in my heart and people are always there. Those are the people we have to respect because they are always by our side,” Ronaldo explained.

“For me, the most important thing is to try to win games and try to win some championships or cups, but I believe that Manchester will be where it is. As I said before, sometimes it takes time but I still believe.” (Ant/OL-1)
