OSVALDO Haay is certain to stay at Persija Jakarta for the 2022/2023 season. The striker from Jayapura, Papua has extended his contract which expired last March with the Kemayoran Tigers.
“We still believe in Osvaldo. He will still be Persija’s strength. We believe he will make a big contribution to Persija next season,” Persija president Mohamad Prapanca said as reported by Persija’s official website.
Persija management has not explained the duration of the 23-year-old player’s contract. However, with this explanation at the same time ending the rumors that were widely spread, Osvaldo was going to Persib Bandung
In Liga 1 2021/2022 Valdo is believed to appear in 26 matches. A total of 21 of them dropped as starters. The player who was born in Jayapura, May 17, 1998, was recorded as collecting one goal and three assists last season.

Persija management hopes that Valdo’s performance will improve so that they can work together to lift the team’s achievements.
Before Osvaldo, Persija also extended the contracts of Maman Abdurahman and Tony Sucipto. Meanwhile, Persija have only brought in three players for the 2022/2023 Liga 1 season.
The three players who have been announced are Firza Andika and Hansamu Yama Pranata who play as defenders. Then Hanif Sjahbandi who plays as a midfielder. (OL-7)
