Sanchez Saves Inter from Defeat at Torino

INTER Milan needed a late goal to reach a 1-1 draw at Torino headquarters in the Serie A match, Monday (14/3).

Alexis Sanchez scored in the third minute of injury time to keep Inter stuck in third place, four points behind AC Milan.

Simone Inzaghi’s side still have a game in hand but they also have to be wary of Juventus who are only three points behind after going 14 games without a loss.

This is very different from the conditions at the beginning of the year when Inter Milan topped the standings with a four-point advantage and 12 points away from Juventus.

Sanchez’s equaliser came thanks to an assist by Edin Dzeko, who wasted many chances throughout the match.

Inter Milan almost lost after they performed poorly at Torino headquarters.

After Brazilian defender Bremer gave Torino the lead after just 11 minutes, Samir Handanovic had to make a brilliant save to keep out Armando Izzo’s header in the 64th minute.

Previously, Robin Gosens had to save Inter by stopping the action of Josip Brekala who had outwitted Handanovic. (AFP/OL-1)
