To get to 0 lash for each valve, loosen the rocker nut and move the push rod up and down until all the slack is gone, then turn the push rod until you feel a little drag, this is now your 0 lash. Im running a reed roller cam, crane roller lifters and harland roller rockers (1.7).
This is basically a zero lash setting just as long as you stop tightening the rocker nut quickly when the clacking stops,then do the additional 1/4 turn from that zero lash settting. Make sure you are looking at the exhaust valve on the cylinder you are working on.
