The latest Honda HR-V has been launched in Indonesia. Its presence, of course, heats up competition in the SUV segment which is on the rise. The 2022 Honda HR-V has also been awaited by its new rival, the Hyundai Creta.
In terms of price, there are several variants of the Honda HR-V 2022 and Hyundai Creta that differ slightly. For example, the Honda HR-V SE CVT is priced at IDR 399.9 million with the Hyundai Creta Prime for IDR 397.5 million. Creta Prime is the highest variant of the Hyundai SUV. Meanwhile, from the Honda HR-V, the highest variant is the RS which is priced at IDR 499.9 million.
The insignificant price difference is predicted to make the two of them compete fiercely. Then what is offered by the Honda HR-V SE CVT to ‘stop’ the pace of the Hyundai Creta Prime?
Honda HR-V SE CVT
Honda HR-V 2022 has a sturdy design in the style of SUV cars. This applies to all variants, including the CVT SE. Then for the SE variant also uses 18-inch alloy wheels. The fog lights now use LED technology.
Entering the inside, the 2022 Honda HR-V has a black and sporty feel. Then there is a screen measuring 4.2 inches TFT Meter that displays various information while driving, such as Honda Sensing, Rear Seat Reminder, indication of lights on the vehicle and fuel consumption.
For the entertainment screen, the SE variant is equipped with an 8-inch touch screen. All variants of the All New Honda HR-V already have audio settings and functions that can be done easily via the Audio Steering Switch located on the steering wheel.

Other features have also been embedded in this car such as the Multi-Angle Rear View Camera which can display 3 views: Normal View, Wide View, and Top View. The Honda HR-V SE CVT has also been equipped with the Honda Lanewatch feature. Then other embedded features include 4 Airbags, G-CON + ACETM frame structure with Side Impact Beam, ABS + EBD + BA braking technology, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Vehicle Stability Assist, Electric Parking Brake, Auto Brake Hold, and Emergency Stop Signal, and Seatbelt Reminder.
The Honda HR-V SE CVT carries a 1.5L I-VTec DOHC engine with a claimed power of 121 PS at 6,800 rpm and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a CVT transmission.
Hyundai Creta Prime
How about the Hyundai Creta Prime? Speaking of design, the Hyundai Creta is no less sporty. Hyundai embeds the Parametric Jewel Grille design language with the characteristic hidden LED DRL lights. Hyundai Creta Prime uses 17-inch alloy wheels with Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels design.
Entering the interior, the Hyundai Creta carries a 10.25-inch Full TFT LCD screen. For entertainment, Creta Prime has an 8-inch Display Audio screen that is connected to a Bose speaker unit.
Turning to features, the Hyundai Creta Prime has also been integrated with Bluelink Connect. That way, vehicle owners can access Stolen Vehicle Tracking & Stolen Vehicle Immobilization, which are features that will operate when an attempted vehicle theft occurs by sending a notification to the customer’s smartphone and stopping vehicle mobilization completely when the customer calls the Call Center.

Other features embedded in the Creta Prime include High Beam Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Manual Speed Limit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Assist, Driver Rear View Monitor, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Avoidance. As for the standard features, namely ABS, ESC, Brake Assistant System, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC), Emergency Stop Signal, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock, Child Protector Rear Door Unlock, Immobilizer, and do not miss 6 airbags.
Hyundai Creta Prime carries a 1.5L Smartstream engine with Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). On paper, the Hyundai Creta can spit out a maximum power of up to 115 PS/6,300 rpm with a maximum torque of up to 143.8 Nm/4,500 rpm.
