Bali United COACH Stefano Cugurra asked his team to continue playing spartan in the match against Madura United in order to win and widen the gap with the second place in the Indonesian League 1 standings.
The 32nd week match between Bali United and Madura United will take place at Kompyang Sujana Stadium, Denpasar, Bali, today, Monday (21/3).
“Yes, of course. Especially if tomorrow (Monday) we can win the match, then our points distance will be further away from Persib Bandung,” said Teco, his nickname, on the club’s official website, Sunday (20/3).

Currently, Bali United is at the top of the 2021/2022 Liga 1 standings with 69 points, or only two points away from Persib in second place, while other teams are still far below the points.
Teco said he was enthusiastic and expected that Bali United’s match against Madura United would be open and interesting to watch.
Moreover, both teams are still on the winning path after picking up wins from their respective rivals in the previous match.
“We must have been waiting for tomorrow’s match against Madura United, a team that has many good players. I think tomorrow’s match will be open and for sure the audience can enjoy it from home,” said the Brazilian coach.
According to him, Serdadu Tridatu must be vigilant when facing Laskar Sape Kerrab, especially in the second half because Madura United is known as a team that often scores goals in the second half, especially in the 70th minute and above.
However, Teco is not worried because as long as his team works hard from the first minute and is focused until the long whistle, there is no need to worry too much about this record.
“As I have said before, Madura United have quality players on all fronts. Therefore we have to work hard from the first minute until the game is over and not just in the last 20 minutes so as not to concede to them,” he stressed. (Ant/OL-1)
