The Mandalika Circuit is a new pride for the people of Indonesia. Successfully holding its first MotoGP event, the Mandalika Circuit is said to be similar to the Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP Mandalika) will be held at the Pertamina International Street Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) on 18-20 March 2022.
The Thai racer, Keminth Kubo, said he was happy with the layout (design) of the main track offered by the Mandalika Circuit. The Moto2 VR46 Master Camp racer, Mandalika Circuit has a very good high speed corner character, similar to the Suzuka Circuit in Japan.

“For me the track at the Mandalika Circuit is similar to the Suzuka Circuit (Japan). In some parts the track is very similar. I like this (Mandalika) circuit because this circuit has a lot of high speed corners and I can fully rotate the gas on the bike. here,” Kubo said in a virtual discussion.
In line with Kubo, Manuel Gonzalez who is also from the Moto2 VR46 Master Camp team also likes the character of the Mandalika Circuit. “For me, I am very happy with this circuit, because this circuit is fast in character. It is very similar to Philip Island (Australia), I will race there in 2020,” said Gonzalez.

A few facts about the Mandalika Circuit, this circuit has a total length of the main track of approximately 4.3 km, with 17 turns (6 to the left and 11 to the right). The Mandalika Circuit has a width of 15 meters with a straight track length of about 507 meters.
The circuit which was built since the end of 2019 has already held several prestigious motorcycle racing events, such as WSBK (World Superbike) and IATC (Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup) at the end of 2021. Then in February 2022, the Mandalika Circuit held a pre-season test for the 2022 MotoGP. Continued on 18-18 March 20, 2022 MotoGP will be held.
