The Yamaha Aerox 155 will be the paddock motorbike for the Yamaha team at the Mandalika MotoGP (Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia) on 18 – 20 March 2022. So what’s so special about this motorbike?
There are a total of 7 Yamaha Aerox units that support all the mobility needs of the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP (MEYM) and WithU Yamaha RNF MotoGP team in the paddock area.
The seven Aerox units include 2 units of the All New Aerox 155 Connected ABS World Grand Prix Livery and 5 units of the All New Aerox 155 Connected Standard.

Interestingly, all of these units were also affixed to the right and left fairings by two of the MEYM team’s mainstay riders, namely the 2021 MotoGP world champion Fabio Quartararo and his partner, Franco Morbidelli.

In a conversation with the media crew at the bLU cRU Fun Riding ‘Road to Mandalika’, in Mataram, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Anton said he would hand over the 7 units of the paddock motorcycle to a Yamaha dealer. After that, the dealer will decide what to do with the historic vehicle.
“I haven’t received the information yet, whether it will be auctioned or sold. The point is we will hand over the unit to the local main dealer, Surya Timur Sakti Jatim (STSJ) who will handle it. So here are seven units (Aerox paddock bikes), two units 60 years of livery and five standard livery,” said Anton.
