TOTTENHAM Hotspur officially recruited Everton’s versatile striker, Richarlison, Friday (1/7). Spurs redeem Richarlison for 50 million pounds plus 10 million pounds in a series of bonuses.
This figure is still below Spurs’ record purchase, which was when they signed Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for 54 million pounds in the summer of 2019.
The 25-year-old player is contracted until June 2027. Richarlison is considered to have shown sharpness in the English Premier League since he first joined Watford in 2017.
Previously, the owner of 36 caps in the Brazilian national team had glimpsed Chelsea and Arsenal, but he decided to try out the Champions League and play under the direction of Antonio Conte.
With Everton, Richarlison has always scored double-digit goals for four seasons at Goodison Park. Last season, he contributed 10 goals to keep the Toffees from relegation.
Richarlison becomes Spurs’ fourth new signing of the summer after Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, Southampton’s Fraser Forster and ex-Brighton’s Yves Bissouma. (Goal/OL-15)
