They fancy metal valve caps, they tend to rust and stick on if not taken on and off every so often i have seen people attack them with pliers and wd40 , the valve caps are ruined but they cheaper to replace than taking of wheel and replacing valves

I cant get these things off. Might cost ya 20 bucks or something since they have to take off and remount the tire but that way youll have a good seal and wont have to worry.

If they are metal they will be alloy and the will chemically react with the the steel/brass valve stem. Take them to a tyre centre, they will cut them off and have new valves fitted.

Then use a fine hacksaw blade ( just use the blade only and hold with your hands ) to make a cut from top to bottom of the cap. Lesson learnt, dont put alloy valve caps on!

The reason i suggest this is if you do manage to get it of you may distort the valve stem which could cause a slow leak and leave you stranded down the track at an inconvenient time or place. Lesson learnt, dont put alloy valve caps on!
