U-19 National Team Is Expected To Stay Focused During Trials


PSSI CHAIRMAN Mochamad Iriawan asked the U-19 national team to continue to focus on undergoing trials and training camps (TC) in South Korea to improve players. The U-18 national team has just recorded its first win in the test match against Daegu University 2-1.

“Hopefully the players will continue to focus, be disciplined and follow the coach’s instructions. Next, the U-19 team will return against South Korea U-19, hopefully they will get better results than yesterday’s inaugural test,” said Iriawan, quoted from the federation’s statement, Monday (28/3). ).

Iriawan appreciated the inaugural victory. According to him, the victory is a good capital to continue working hard during the TC in South Korea.

Previously, the U-19 team lost 0-7 to the South Korean U-19 team. Ronaldo Kwateh et al also lost in the first match of the 1-5 trial from Yeungnam University 1-5.

Coach Shin Tae-yong admitted that he was quite happy with the current development of the players. With high-intensity training, players are considered to still be able to focus and continue to process for better game organization.

“Indeed, so far we have been training very hard and physically training as well, but the players did not give up and continued to work hard until the end of the match,” said Shin Tae-yong.

The friendly match against Daegu University was held in three rounds with 40 minutes each. The U-19 team in the first half drew 0-0.

It was only in the second half that the national team scored Kadek Arel’s goal. The second goal was created in the third half through Ronaldo Kwateh’s free kick.
