Pulls better than before the adjustment, temps stay nominal (dont think the fans ever kicked on even when stopped). Valve adjustment is advised after 100k.

As stated above, if you have access to a mechanics stethoscope, you can set the end at the top of the rocker stud to listen to the noise a loose adjustment makes, which helps finding zero lash easier. I just replaced the upper tensioner.

If loose by.001 that is true, but with enough play to make that kind of racket, the rocker pallets and valve tips will beat themselves up. I dont recall evening seeing the upper chain guide after seeing a an example in the book for the nissan sentra.
