Vlahovic in Serbia squad for 2022 World Cup

Serbian national team coach Dragan Stojkovic has finally included Dusan Vlahovic’s name in the squad he brought to the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The Juventus striker was previously doubtful of being able to appear in Qatar after being hit by an injury.

In the announcement made by Stojkovic, Friday (11/11), Vlahovic’s name was included in the Serbian squad. Vlahovic, 22, has not played since late last month. He last defended the Old Lady when they lost 3-4 to Benfica in the Champions League group stage.

Vlahovic is expected to recover before Serbia appears in the 2022 World Cup. Being in Group G, Serbia will play their first match against Brazil on November 24, 2022. Besides Serbia and Brazil, Group G is also inhabited by Cameroon and Switzerland. (AFP/OL-15)
