A few days before the event Indonesian MotoGP At the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, teams and racers started arriving in Lombok. The first group landed last night.
Dozens of crew and racers have landed at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM) Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Sunday night (13/3). This is the first landing of several planes that will visit Mandalika carrying crew, riders, and MotoGP officials.
In total there will be 9 flights that will land at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport carrying a group of MotoGP racers, teams, and officials.
As explained by the Head of the NTB Tourism Office, Yusron Hadi, there are 64 people who have arrived in Lombok, consisting of team officials, Moto3 and Moto2 and MotoGP racers.
“They arrived in Lombok at 21.50 WITA using the Garuda Indonesia airline,” said Yusron Hadi as quoted by Antara.
“So the arrival of the crew and racers until March 16, 2022 after the parade in Jakarta,” said Yusron Hadi.

Before the race at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, some MotoGP riders will stop by first. They are scheduled to meet with President Joko Widodo and hold a parade.
“We saw earlier that there was a female Moto3 racer who also arrived at the airport,” said Yusron when asked who were the riders who had landed.
He explained that the planned arrival of charter flights in March in the context of MotoGP at Lombok Airport was scheduled from March 13 to March 21. Consisting of 9 arrival flights from March 13 to March 16 and return flights from March 20 to 21, 2022.
“For scheduled arrivals 9 times and have been realized last night (Sunday, ed),” he said.
The Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia will be held on March 18-20 2022 at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit. This will be the first Grand Prix race in Indonesia since the last one in 1997.
