Without Haaland, Man City narrowly beat Leicester

Without the injured Erling Haaland, Manchester City were able to win over Leicester City in the Premier League match at the King Power Stadium, Saturday (29/10) night WIB. Despite winning, The Citizens had difficulty facing the resistance of Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

Despite appearing dominant, Man City struggled to create dangerous opportunities in this match. The Foxes–Leicester’s nickname–played very closely plus goalkeeper Danny Ward also appeared impressive under the host’s crossbar.

Man City could only score at the beginning of the second half through Kevin de Bruyne in the 49th minute. Leicester then managed to get out of the pressure and threatened several times, but failed to score.

“It was a difficult game, because they have 10 very deep players and it was very difficult. After we scored they changed their rhythm and in the Premier League the last few minutes were always difficult. It was a big win for us,” said Manager Man. City, Pep Guardiola after the game.

Man City was temporarily leading the standings with 29 points, one point ahead of Arsenal who just played tomorrow. (OL-8)
