Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez said he was satisfied with the character displayed by his team when they beat Villarreal 3-0 in the 10th week of La Liga at the Camp Nou Stadium, Barcelona, Friday (21/10) early morning WIB.
Quoted from Football Espana, Friday (21/10), Barcelona’s victory was born thanks to a brace scored by Robert Lewandowski and a goal from talented young player Ansu Fati.
The victory was also a solace for Barcelona, which the previous week had to swallow a bitter defeat from arch-rivals Real Madrid with a score of 1-3 in the 9th week of La Liga last weekend.

“I think we played a great game, it’s our turn. We have to react. It wasn’t an easy day after losing at the Bernabeu and drawing with Inter,” Xavi told Marca.
“There’s a lot of expectation for this team, a lot to expect. We’ve shown our face, we’ve shown character, good intensity, very good in defense and above all, in attack. We scored three goals against a team that conceded few goals. Overall a good feeling.”
Thanks to this victory, Barcelona maintained their position in second place in La Liga standings with 25 points from 10 matches, three points behind Real Madrid in first place.
Next Barcelona will face Athletic Bilbao, which was coached by their former coach Ernesto Valverde in Week 11 of La Liga at the Camp Nou Stadium, Barcelona, Sunday (23/10). (Ant/OL-1)
